Drenched: The Newsletter – What to Expect
Just as the intro states, this is my author newsletter. When you subscribed to the WPS publication, you were automatically added to this list. I honestly don’t understand how authors find the time to send out weekly newsletters, (possibly) work full time in Corporate Hell, keep up with family, and write! I am awed.
But I’m not that writer.
Except for the part about working in Corporate Hell.
You’ll only receive this letter when I’m announcing two things: new stories and new perks for paid subscribers (who will receive a separate post with that info). Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.

Wet Panty Stories by Evolet – What to Expect
I crated this ‘stack back in June (wow!) and started getting subscribers not too long after that. You may have forgotten what you were getting into when you hit that subscribe button, so I’m just gonna remind you how I roll. I write contemporary, short and steamy interracial stories between 7K-15K words, and the content will fall under four main categories:
Serials – Stories involving interconnecting characters up to 15K words MAX. Typically, 8 chapters in length with a prologue (sometimes) and an epilogue. (For paid members; sneak peeks and first four chapters for free members)
Booty “Shorts” - Short stories up to 7500K words MAX. These will either be standalone stories or spin-off stories of secondary characters from the serials. (For paid members only)
Wet Panty Drawer - Posts about book research and the inspiration behind the stories. Posts from this section will not appear on the publication homepage or publication archive; they’ll just appear in the section's page. (For paid members only)

Serials are based in Phoenix, AZ (cuz that’s where I live) and the surrounding cities in the Metro area, as well as other towns within the state of AZ. I may drop names of places within my stories, and if I do that, I’ll be sure to mention it in the Author Notes at the end of a chapter. There are many things to do/see/visit in my home state and I’d like to share that with you all, should you ever decide to visit and want to do something other than the Grand Canyon.
Not only do I have a Corporate Hell Job, but I'm also one of two co-caregivers of a parent with dementia. My older sister and I trade off staying with our parents on a weekly basis, so believe me when I say that NO WRITING gets done when it's my Caregiver week. As such, I aim for bi-weekly posts on Fridays (free members will get the post a week after paid members), but it'll definitely be monthly. Life happens. If I miss a post or need to abandon a story for whatever reason, I’ll let you know (unless I died. Then never mind). Reader engagement and feedback is highly encouraged, with the following caveat: comments will be moderated, as this Community is intended to be a safe environment for you and me to discuss the stories (or things relating to the stories).
Uncivil or bigoted comments, and personal attacks on me and other readers WILL NOT be tolerated. I will be the judge of whether a comment is worthy of some kind of censure, and there are no rules other than “I’ll know it when I see it.” Be frank and critical, but also accepting and courteous.
I don’t write holiday-themed stories. A lot of my favorite short story authors write Thanksgiving/Halloween/Christmas/Valentine’s/St. Patrick’s-themed love stories. You will not find those type of stories here.
I also don’t write to trend. I honestly don’t know what’s popular right now and I could give two fucks about that (this is how you start to feel the older you get). I have a lot of ideas for both series and standalone stories, so I’m going to write what interests me. Hopefully, you’ll be interested, too.

I chose November because as you may (or may not) know, November is National Novel Writing Month. When I started thinking about this series, way back in the 20-teens years, I participated in Camp NaNoWriMo. The word count requirement was whatever you wanted (not the 50K word challenge that is NaNoWriMo), so when it comes to this book, all I have are random scenes. They don’t fit in sequential order, word counts are all over the place, and all of the scenes may not even be used (needless to say, I am the Queen of over researching). And so, I thought, “Well, November would be a good time to write—and serialize—a novel.”
Currently, I don’t plan to publish these stories in paperback or eBook format. I’ll let you know if/when that happens, but I can tell you it’ll be direct from an author site. Amazon tends to fuck over authors, pulling or banning their labors of love without warning or reason, and I am NOT here for it.
This is my first foray into writing adult romance novels and, not gonna lie, I’m nervous as fuck. Imposter Bitch (who strangely resembles Kim Kardashian) is trying to hair toss her way in with her Botox lips and ass implants, but I’m doing my best Knives Out impression over here.
